    WELCOME to our Website!

    My name is Lulu. I am 3yrs old. Sister says I’m big enough to be your Guide ‘cause I already know what will pop up when you click one of those buttons.  I can tell you what to expect so you won't get scared.  But first, Sister says I must tell you something about me.

    I am Papua New Guinean of mixed parentage. I am Catholic and know that Jesus is God and Mary is Jesus’ mother. I go to school and can already say …A,B,C,D,E,… my favourite foods are broccoli, pumpkin soup, and tomato soup. My Dad cooks pumpkin soup for me. I save my money in a Piggy Bank. When it’s full I go with my parents to the big Bank and leave it in my account. One day I will have lots of money for school fees.  My favourite colour is red and that’s why my Mum paints my toenails red! Right now I don’t have brothers or sisters, but I hope one day my Mum and Dad will go to the hospital and get a baby.  Okay. Sister says that’s enough about me.  Now I must tell you something more about our Website

    Our Website is about all of us PNG Kids; what we look like, where we live, where go to school, where we go to church and what we look like when we dress up in our traditional clothes. Our website is meant to do four things:

    (1) be a window through which you can see things about our way of life you would not see otherwise;
    (2) be a platform for us PNG kids to showcase our gifts, talents and the role we play in our communities;
    (3) be a witness to what our Church is doing to help make PNG a Child Safe country;
    (4) be a silent voice raising awareness among all that Children and Childhood are extremely important and valuable to any society and that no one should be allowed to rob our communities of either through abuse, neglect, discrimination, exploitation or violence.

    Now before we part,  take a good look at our Logo to the right of this page…looks like "Noah’s ARK"!  It is about our Church doing all it can to care for and protect all of us kids especially those who may be abused, neglected or hungry on the streets, without home or parents. Our Church wants to bring all of us kids to a safe and happy place. The Logo is about the Care, Well-being and Protection our Church wants for ALL PNG kids.

    Thanks for being our friend and visiting our Website often.  "A picture is worth a thousand words," they say and so our website will be like a photo album showing you things about our way of life you might not see otherwise, unless you visit PNG in person. Tell your friends about our webiste!  We're different.  We're special. Our website is not as complete as we would like it to be, but in time it will grow into something
    better and more representative of who we are as Papua New Guinean children. Bye for now.

     LULU

    PS    Since February 26th I now have a baby sister.  I am very happy to have someone to  play with.     LULU
